Christos A. Tessas was born in Athens. In 1994 he moved to Nancy, France for a year where he studied French literature and history at the Faculté des Lettres et des Sciences Humaines in Université Nancy 2.
In the period 1995-2000 he studied architecture at the École Nationale Superieure d’Architecture Paris-Villemin in Paris, France and acquired his master’s degree in Architecture, in 2002, from the École Nationale Superieure d’Architecture Paris-Malaquais in cooperation with Université Paris 1, Panthéon Sorbonne majoring in Theory and History of Architecture.
In 2003 he obtained the Diplôme d’Architecte Diplômé par le Gouvernement (D.P.L.G.) title and was called to participate at the Programme for the Rejuvenation of Facades at the Municipality of Athens under the framework of the Athens Olympic Games in 2004.
In 2005 he established his own architectural practice. He designed numerous projects, won two major architectural competitions in Greece and received the European Union Europa Nostra Award. His designs have been exhibited in Paris, New York, Palermo, Thessaloniki, Corfu and Athens.
Chris has a PhD in Architecture (2009-2017) from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Since 2018, he teaches at the Technical University of Crete, School of Architecture and in 2021 he was appointed Assistant Professor of architectural design.
