Short biographical note

Dimitris Andreadakis was born in Chania, Crete in 1964. He studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts under Triantafyllos Patraskidis and Dimitris Mytaras. From 1991 to 1996 he completed his post-graduate studies at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris under Pierre Carron and Vladimir Velickovic. During the period of his pre-graduate (1986-1991) and post-graduate studies (1992-1996) he was on a scholarship granted by the State Scholarship Service of the French Government, the Onassis Foundation and the Leventis Foundation.
His works are to be found in museums, galleries, public and private collections in Greece and abroad. As an example, the following are noted: the National Gallery (Athens), the Benaki Museum (Athens), the Greek Parliament Collections (Athens), the Frysiras Museum (Athens), the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art (Thessaloniki), Chania Municipal Gallery, the Kouvoutsakis Gallery, the S. Bergele Collection, the D. Matzoros Collection, the P. Gerolymatos Collection, Α. Hadjioannou Collection and the G. & Μ. Diamantidis Collection.
In 2008, he was elected Assistant Professor for the course on Plastic Arts in the Architecture and Engineering Department of the Crete National Polytechnic School in Chania.
