This is an architectural design studio course, which on a first level aims at analyzing the parameters and decisions that affect the form of a space from within, as well as exploring how these are applied at an early stage of the design process - not at the end as it usually happens. On a second level, the design process continues in smaller scales, exploring how material and immaterial characteristics determine the quality and atmosphere of a space.
The course is supported by lectures that demonstrate how the above-mentioned attributes can be observed and analyzed in the work of prominent architects.
The students work and develop a design project during the semester, which they present at the end in scales 1:50- 1:20, or even smaller if needed.
