School of Architecture - Technical University of Crete
The academic year begins on September 1st of each year and ends on August 31st of the following year. The educational program of studies of each academic year is distributed in two semesters. The courses offered by the School of Architecture are semester-long and include:
Undergraduate studies last for ten (10) semesters and they include preparation of Dissertation and a semester-long Diploma Thesis Project during the last semester.
Courses are divided in two categories: (a) mandatory and (b) optional (mandatory and free choice).
The detailed program of study is updated as needed at the end of the spring semester of each academic year and applies as of the following academic year. The program entails:
Each semester-long course has a number of credit hours.
The first semester begins on the second half of September and the second semester ends on the first half of June. The exact dates are determined by the Senate of the Technical University of Crete. Every semester involves at least 13 full weeks for teaching and 2 weeks for exams.
